أعلنت حركة تحرير السودان برئاسة مني أركو مناوي رفضها تولي منصب كبير مساعدي الرئيس بدون صلاحيات. وأعلن أمين الاتصال السياسي مقرر لجنة الحوار مع المؤتمر الوطني عن الحركة متوكل محمد موسى لـ «الأهرام اليوم» أن اللجنة أبلغت جانب المؤتمر الوطني أن مشاركة بدون فعالية للمنصب غير مرغوب فيها على الرغم من تفضيل مناوي المواصلة في العملية السلمية.وقال موسى إن اللجنة تناولت سلبيات المشاركة التي صاحبت المرحلة الماضية من عمر اتفاقية أبوجا، ونفى وجود إشكالات أو انقطاع للجنة الحوار عن مواصلة عملها ولكنه قال إن البطء الذي لازم العمل نجم عن انشغال اللجنة المفوضة من الوطني بمهام أخرى، وقطع بمواصلة الحوار خلال اليومين المقبلين.
