03-09-09SUDAN: PRODI A KHARTOUM HA INCONTRATO PRESIDENTE EL-BASHIR(ASCA) - Roma, 3 set - Il presidente della Fondazione per la Collaborazione tra i Popoli, Romano Prodi, ha avuto un lungo incontro con il Presidente del Sudan, Omar el-Bashir, a Khartoum. ''Sono stato informato - ha detto l'ex presidente del Consiglio - sulla situazione in Sudan in termini di democrazia e pace. La conversazione con il Presidente el-Bashir e' stata approfondita e aperta, abbiamo discusso di questioni quali la preparazione delle elezioni politiche, il referendum per l'autodeterminazione del Sud Sudan, il mantenimento della pace e l'assistenza umanitaria in Darfur''.Prodi ha riferito poi di aver ''raccomandato che ulteriori miglioramenti devono essere compiuti a proposito della liberta' di stampa, sulla trasparenza delle elezioni e sulla sicurezza delle attivita' delle Ong in Darfur''. وتمّ تحت الضغط الليبيبعد 24 ساعة فقط من توقيع ست حركات دارفورية مسلحة ميثاق إعلان 'القوى الثورية لتحرير السودان'، الذي تم من خلاله اندماجها في كيان واحد جرى إعلانه في طرابلس أمس الأول، أعلن عدد من هذه الحركات أن التوقيع على ميثاق الكيان الجديد قد 'حدث تحت ضغط الدولة الليبية وضغط العقيد معمر القذافي الذي سعى إلى إعلان إنجاز مهم من العاصمة طرابلس أثناء الاحتفال بالعيد الـ40 لثورة الفاتح'.وكانت الحركات الدارفورية أعلنت اندماجها ووحدتها في العاصمة الليبية طرابلس استعدادا للتفاوض مع حكومة الخرطوم، ووقعت الحركات الست ميثاقا لكيان جديد باسم 'القوى الثورية لتحرير السودان' وكان ذلك بحضور الوسطاء وعدد من المسؤولين الليبيين.واعتبرت الحركات الست وهي حركة 'تحرير السودان - وحدة جوبا'، وحركة 'تحرير السودان - قيادة الوحدة '، وحركة 'تحرير السودان - القيادة الميدانية'، وجبهة 'القوى الثورية المتحدة'، وحركة 'تحرير السودان - الخط العام'، بالإضافة إلى حركة 'تحرير السودان - جناح خميس أبكر'، أن 'هذا الكيان وعاء سياسي ثوري جامع' أهم بنوده بحسب البيان الذي أصدره التنظيم هو 'إنهاء أيديولوجية المركز والتمركز الاستعماريين، ومحاكمة مجرمي جرائم الإبادة والحرب وفق القانون الدولي، وتكريس مبدأ الديموقراطية وواقع التعددية في السودان على الأرض واقعا وعملا، بالإضافة إلى إلغاء نتائج الإحصاء الحالي وقيام الانتخابات بعد حل أزمة دارفور، وإعادة الإحصاء بإشراف الأمم المتحدة'.ورغم إعلان هذه الحركات لهذه الوحدة الظاهرية التي وصفها أحد قياديي الحركات - طلب عدم ذكر اسمه - بـ'كذبة الوحدة تزامنا مع ثورة الفاتح'، معتبراً أنها 'لا تخدم سوى موقع متقدم للقذافي وللاتحاد الإفريقي وليس لها أي أساس في الأرض'.الجريدةUN says Darfur war is overPosted By THE ASSOCIATED PRESSPosted -59 sec agoThe outgoing UN peacekeeping chief in Sudan's Darfur region said the world should no longer consider the long-running conflict a war after a sharp decline in violence and deaths over the past year.Activists and Darfur residents disagree, and the comments by Rodolphe Adada heightened anxiety that there will be less international focus on resolving the root problems in the troubled region.UN peacekeepers have recorded a sharp decline in fatalities from violence. There were 16 deaths in June, compared to an average 130 deaths per month last year."We can no longer talk of a big conflict, of a war in Darfur," Adada told The Associated Press this week before stepping down as head of the joint United Nations-African Union peacekeeping mission in Darfur, or UNAMID."I think now everybody understands it. We can no longer speak of this issue. It is over," he said.
