حذرت حركة العدل والمساواة المتمردة بدارفور الحكومة السودانية من مغبة الاستمرار فيما سماه متحدث باسم الحركة مؤامرة تفكيك وتفريغ معسكرات النزوح‏.

‏ وقال أحمد حسين آدم الناطق الرسمي للحركة‏,‏ إن مجرد التصريح بتفكيك أو تفريغ المعسكرات‏,‏ يعتبر خرقا فاضحا للقانون الدولي الإنساني والذي يحمي بنصوصه ومواده ـ التي أصبحت عرفا دوليا ـ النازحين داخل دولتهم‏,‏ وأضاف أن الحكومة السودانية تدرك ذلك تماما‏.‏ وأضاف‏,‏ أكدنا سابقا بأن النظام ظل يقوم بسلسلة من الإجراءات والتكتيكات التي تستهدف تفكيك المعسكرات‏,‏ وفرض العودة القسرية‏,‏ ما اعتبره آدم مرحلة جديدة من مراحل الإبادة الجماعية‏.‏
وهدد الناطق باسم العدل والمساواة‏,‏ بأن حركته لن تقف مكتوفة وسترد بقوة علي ذلك‏,‏ وستحتفظ بمكان وزمان الرد‏,‏ معتبرا أن قرار تفريغ وتفكيك معسكرات النازحين يمثل انتهاكا واضحا للقانون الدولي الإنساني وميثاق روما لعام‏1998‏ المنشيء للمحكمة الجنائية الدولية‏,‏ وقال هذا سيجعلهم في مواجهة جديدة مع المحكمة الجنائية الدولية والمتمردين‏,‏ مطالبا قوات اليوناميد بعدم السماح للقوات الحكومية السودانية باجتياح المعسكرات‏,‏ مؤكدا أن أي تدخل عسكري من قبل القوات النظامية أو ميليشياته أو تسليم لشيوخ المعسكرات المحتمين بمعسكر اليوناميد سيقود الي مزيد من الصراع‏,‏ وسيفتح أبواب جهنم‏.‏
